The State of Montrose... IS STUPID, INSANE, AND PICKLE.

Howdy, howdy, howdy! It’s Kittyhawk here to let y’all know what's up at Montrose, the other part of my Newgrounds name. What’s Montrose? Why it’s a collective of cool people doing cool stuff over a span of many years. Right now we’re hard at work on a lot of stuff!

First up, we’re working on a utility that I think y’all will appreciate. We’ve got an awesome track from @Dieswyx for it, and damn, I just want to play it for everyone now! (Patience, patience…) I’m hoping to show off some of the behind the scenes soon!

Speaking of the utility, it will be part of a contest that I’m cooking up for Newgrounds. Ufufufu… It’s gonna be good… Watch me to see when it hits!

We’re also hard at work on two games right now, a short one and a long form one. The long form one will feature Velvet and Minky from A Halloween Cat-Tastrophe! Grenadine and Chintz too!

I’ll def be showing off some of the art here, and there will be some narrative companions to the game, so be sure to follow me here on Newgrounds to check it out as it’s released.

I’m also working on a piece for the Dreamcast Collab! I got a choice pick, so happy! I’ve been able to see some of the WIP, and I’m loving it all so far. Dreamcast has a special meaning to me at @alsoknownas1 since it’s what brought us together. 💖

The Newgrounds Art Scheduler is here! What is it? Why it's a simple bookmarklet based scheduler for an Art Post on Newgrounds! It's easy to use and saves you waking up or having to wait till you get home to make that important art post.

How to Install

To install, follow the instructions here.

How to Use

1. Create and prepare your art post as usual, but do not click "Submit Art".
2. Click your "Schedule NG Art Post" bookmark.
3. The "Submit Art" button becomes a "Schedule" button.
4. Click the picker to the right of the "Schedule" button and pick a date and time. Remember that some browsers require you to click the "Done" button in the picker to fully select the date and time.
5. Click the "Schedule" button.
6. The "Schedule" button becomes a countdown.
7. To cancel, click the countdown button. You can pick a new time and date and click "Schedule" to start a new countdown.

Limitations

• In order to post, a browser window must have the countdown as the active tab when the countdown expires.
• In order to post, your machine must be online and not asleep when the countdown expires.
• The scheduler will try to post at the time you set but due to differences in your computer and the NG clock, caching, and upload times, your post may not be available at that exact time.

I made this silly little animation loop with encouragement from harry_lime. It started out as this 4 panel comic I was making for Valentine's, which he thought was a storyboard!

It's not the greatest, but! I had fun making it, and I hope to be doing a little more animation the future, def some character reactions. 😉
